University of the Third Age, South Coast Inc. is part of the world-wide U3A movement. It is a non-profit organisation of ‘third age’ people (over 50, retired or part timers) sharing a love of learning for fun and pleasure. The many educational, creative, leisure and fun activities on offer are run by members, for members.
Our Groups range from literature to languages, philosophy to photography and poetry to plays. There is music appreciation, films, gardening, dance, books, craft and many subjects inbetween. There are also social and cafe sessions and monthly talks from a variety of speakers covering a diversity of subjects.
We are pleased to greet new faces and new groups are welcome should you have ideas and want to share your ideas, knowledge or experience.
U3A’s philosophy of encouraging lifelong learning aims to provide a safe, stimulating and great social enviroment for those who want to be active in mind and body. And, of course, there are no educational requirements, tests, exams or pre-qualifications!
